As readers of the blog will know, we didn't get tickets for Live Earth at Wembley but we did watch some of it last night (recorded, thanks to Sky Plus). Being a Duran Duran fan, I watched their set carefully, and saw John Taylor wearing a chest-baring shirt completely inappropriate for someone his age (actually, inappropriate for anyone but male strippers at work). What was he thinking? I fancied him like mad when I was a teen but as a 37 year-old I couldn't even look at him performing in such a ridiculous shirt.
There's a lot to be said for going urbane as you age, like the ultimate role model Bryan Ferry.

even I, as an old Mother can't forget "Hungry Like a Wolf" and "Rio"....where has the time gone??????now you know how I feel when I see Tom Jones with very open shirt !!!!!!! (or, God forbid Neil Diamond)
John Taylor's chest is sexy! As long as he's still got it he should show it off!
i am also 37 and have to say his chest did not offend, i still think they guy is hot stuff!....however i think the show was more about the the need to save the earth...so get a grip!
John Taylor is just fine with his shirt open. In fact he is just FINE! Period. The whole damn band is still hot as hell and should absolutely show it off. Personally, I was looking @ Simon's wonderfully tight pants, but then that's just me. ;P
Have you had an eye test recently? If not a trip to your local Specsavers may be in order.
I suggest once kitted out with appropriate vision corrective equipment you re-watch your recording and conclude your eye sight has degenerated somewhat due to the ageing process!!!!
you need your eyes testing the man is fit!!!!
I'm not saying he's not fit. I'm just saying he looked like an ass with his chest out.
