We had a decent snow just before Christmas, which resulted in slippery sidewalks and roads for most of the holiday season. Once it seemed safe to walk outside, we had another winter weather episode last week. This one caused far more disruption than I've managed during my 15 years here but happily resulted in two complete snow days from work.
I'm not saying this weather isn't beautiful to look at or fun to run through, but I am concerned about the lack of gritting. This ice-rink feel to the walkways and driving routes is dangerous, as seen in the increase in patients in the UK A&E wards.
